Today I had a work shop with Mr Corlett and I learnt somethings about fractions here is what I learnt.
Okay here is what I learnt, there are 15 candles left on a 3/4 of a cake how many candles were on the whole cake?
Anwser: 20
I also learnt that 3/4 0f 20 is 15 and 2/3 of 9 is 6.

The Four Important Things

I believe that not many people think of want there most important things to them. This piece of writing will hopefully persuade you to go with what I think should be the most important things to us.
Firstly family is important because if you didn't have a family you would be all alone in the world. I know that family can be annoying like when you fight with your brother or sister but you should still love them because not everyone has a families.
Pets are good as well because they are good companions. As an example, let's just say that it's a cloudy day and just felt dull. You could go to the pet and play or cuddle it to make you think that the world still exists. But pets can be a lot to take care of but it's worth all the trouble.
Certainly friends are very important because if people didn't have friends everyone wold be enemy's and no one would be friends. But friends are hard to keep happy like when they all want to play different games But my friends do is think of a game that we all might want to play.
We surely can't forget love. Love is probably the most important thing there is because if your not loved by people you become sad and I believe that everyone should be happy and take my advise if you love people I believe that people will love you back.
For these reasons you will agree with me that these should be the most important things to us and if we make time for these I'm sure we will all be happy.

Today I Learnt
Today I Learnt.
Today I Learnt that the Olympic flag was flown in 1920 at the antwaim stadium. The Olympic symbol was designed by Branon Pierre de Coubertin in 1912 and so I said it was first flown in 1920 and that's what I learnt on Thursday 25 of August.
These are colours of the Olympic rings, blue, black, red, yellow and green. These colours are on all the national flags in the world the white background counts as well.

Today I learnt what a decimal is in measurement a decimal in measurement is when lets just say I had a pen that is 5 cm and 4 mm so I would write like this 5.4 cm that's the short way to write it it means 5 cm and 4 mm.

Today I learnt that there are 52 weeks in a year and that there are 365 days in a year and 12 moths also every second moth has 30 days in it such as February April, June, August, October and December and all the rest has 31 days in them.

On Monday I learnt that you need for a gold certificate on mathletics you need 1000 points to get a bronze and you need 4 bronze and 1000 points to get a silver. Then you need 3 silvers and 4 bronze and 1000 points to get a GOLD certificate, I also learnt that you can only get 2 Gold certificate in a year so pretty special time.

Shall It Be Spring Or Shall It Winter
If you would to pick one season out of winter or spring to live in what would it be this peiace of writing will show you want the good and bad things are for these two seasons.
Firstly you can be outside in the sun with your family in spring, but you can get sun burn and that can lead to serious skin cancer. This disease can lead to long time in hospitals and sometimes death, and thats's why you put sunscreen on but most of the good sunscreen can be expensive.
For these reasons you would probably want to go with winter but just hold that thought. You would probably think of by going skiing, building snowman's and plaing i the snow but you can get pneumonia from the cold. Pneumonia is a sickness that's like a cold but it makes it hard to breath. You can survive but this sickness can lead to death.
As you can see spring and winter are both good seasons but for me I would rather perfer spring because I love the sun but I will put sunscreen on.

Water For The People
Water For The People
Many people have water but not all people don't have clean water give Havelock North for example there water has been with some kind of bacteria could camphlobacto, this disease coused lots of problems and it's still going round, so maybe people could donate money to hospitals to get medicine and to clean the water.I hope this peace of writing will hopefuly persuade you to go with my point of veiw about this incident.
But there is one problem that most would think how would people would pay to fix the water because not all people have the money to pay for it. But I believe we can so we could at least give one dollare to help clean the water because you can change peoples lives.

Here’s some reason that I think I should be our new room 6 library monitor.
I really like to read books!
I like to do a lot of reading in and out of school. If I was in the library and nothing needs doing I would probably read, I really like to read EJ12 girl hero books.
I am very responsible and sensible.
You can trust me with books and you trust me with people and sometimes with computers, but not always, but I am a fast learner. Mr Corlett also trustee's me and I don’t get in trouble.
I am a good worker,
I like to try my best with everything even if it’s hard you can trust me to work when you are helping someone or when you are out of the room.
I love to be friendly and kind infact it comes out naturally like when I say “ Thank you,” I don’t even think about it. I also have nice and friendly happy friends so you can trust me to be friendly to people.
I really hope you can pick me to be the new room 6 library monitor and thank you for reading this and I hope you don’t have a hard time picking.
